Founded by Julie Lambert-Coucot, La Maison Coucot beautifully reflects the heritage of a family of watchmakers and jewelers from Northern France. After honing her expertise in Paris, Julie returned to her roots to create jewelry that unites authentic materials, timeless design, and refined craftsmanship.

Each piece is handcrafted in France from noble materials such as horn, silver, and gold, showcasing a perfect balance between raw natural beauty and modern elegance. Inspired by the harmony of forms and textures, Coucot Joaillerie redefines the codes of contemporary fine jewelry while staying true to traditional French savoir-faire.

Today, La Maison Coucot stands as a symbol of sustainable luxury and artisanal excellence, celebrating individuality and emotion through creations made to last.

The Origins of Coucot Joaillerie

Julie Lambert-Coucot, founder of Coucot Joaillerie, comes from a family of watchmakers and jewelers established in Northern France since 1954. The story began with her grandfather, a native of Franche-Comté, who traveled from Besançon—first by train, then by bicycle—to sell watches across the region before settling in the small town of Avion, near Lens.

Her father later took over the family jewelry store in 1987, while her uncle opened his own workshop in Valenciennes. Born a year later, Julie grew up surrounded by this creative world and naturally inherited the family passion.
Gifted in drawing and drawn to art, she began studying jewelry at 15 years old in Morteau, then continued at the prestigious École Boulle in Paris, where she earned a Diplôme des Métiers d’Art.

She went on to work for several renowned jewelry houses, perfecting her craftsmanship and artistic eye. During a professional experience in Madagascar, she discovered the beauty of horn, a material that deeply inspired her. Familiar with its use in Art Nouveau—notably by René Lalique—Julie fell in love with its texture and expressiveness.

Back in France, she realized that horn had fallen out of use and decided to restore its elegance and relevance, making it a signature element of her creations.

Rooted in the Hauts-de-France region and guided by a passion passed down through generations, Julie Lambert-Coucot creates jewelry that celebrates both heritage and modern artistry.
