A Short History of Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc, born in 1412 in Domrémy, began hearing mystical voices at the age of 13, in 1425. She attributed these voices to Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret, who often appeared to her in her family garden. The first time she heard them was during summer, near a large tree known as the "Fairy Tree".

At first, the voices spoke gently and benevolently, encouraging her to remain pious and virtuous. However, over time, their messages became more urgent and specific. They commanded her to save France by leading Dauphin Charles VII to the throne. These visions and divine calls shaped her destiny, making her one of the most legendary figures in history.
