Designed to perfectly complement the "Pompadour" model, The Hunt décor immerses you in the thrilling sounds of hunting horns and galloping hooves through the majestic forest of Compiègne. This detailed scene consists of 10 beautifully crafted elements, depicting towering trees, wild animals such as deer and wild boar, as well as huntsmen and pikemen on horseback, accompanied by a spirited pack of hounds.

Hunting with hounds is a time-honored tradition, practiced since the Middle Ages, requiring precision, discipline, and deep respect for heritage. Deer or Saint?

Saint Hubert, the patron saint of hunters, symbolizes the harmony between faith and a passion for nature. His 7th-century legend tells of a sacred vision during a hunt: he saw a glowing cross appear between the antlers of a majestic deer. Struck by this divine sign, Hubert renounced hunting and dedicated his life to serving God. Over time, the cross between the antlers became an iconic emblem for Catholic hunters, representing faith, protection, and respect for nature. Each year on November 3rd, the hunting community gathers to honor him, celebrating the deep connection between spirituality and the wilderness.

A Castle on the Horizon – But Which One?

The Château de Pierrefonds, situated in the Compiègne Forest, is a breathtaking medieval fortress. Originally built in the 14th century by Louis d'Orléans, it later gained new life under Napoleon III, who entrusted its restoration to the renowned architect Viollet-le-Duc in the 19th century. Its flamboyant Gothic architecture, towering walls, and fairy-tale silhouette make it one of France's most spectacular historical landmarks.
