French liquor - L'Abricot – Liqueur Domaine Roulot
About the Domaine:
Domaine Roulot, located in Meursault, spans 11 hectares across some of Burgundy’s most prestigious white wine appellations, comparable to Domaine Comte Lafon and Domaine Coche Dury. Jean Marc Roulot took over in 1989 and transitioned the estate first to biodynamic, then fully organic practices in 2000. Known for controlling low yields and minimal intervention during the 'élevage' process, his wines are celebrated for their purity, freshness, and minerality. In recent years, Domaine Roulot has expanded into artisanal liquors, including apricot, pear, raspberry, and since 2021, lemon. The Apricot liquor is crafted from organic apricots grown on a farm in the Rhône Valley, 25 km from Avignon, using the rare "La Rouge du Roussillon" variety.
Elevage (Aging Process):
This apricot liqueur is produced through the careful fermentation of organic apricots, followed by distillation to capture a deliciously refined and aromatic spirit. The result is a smooth, naturally fruity liquor that showcases both the quality of the fruit and the expert craftsmanship of Domaine Roulot.
An elegant expression of French artisanal distillation, combining Burgundy know-how with the unique character of Rhône Valley apricots.
