Meet Natacha Voland

Born in Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy, Natacha Voland grew up immersed in the world of wine. Her family life revolved around both the enjoyment and business of wine, with long lunches and dinners often shared with renowned professionals such as Georges Duboeuf, Alexis Lichine, and Robert Mondavi. This lively and enriching environment instilled in her a deep passion for Burgundy wines and a desire to share their excellence with the world.

Rooted in Tradition

Raised largely by her grandparents while her parents worked, Natacha’s grandfather, Maurice Ninot, guided her early wine education. From the age of four, she learned to taste and evaluate wines by sight, smell, and palate. Visits to producers’ cellars and weekly restaurant outings deepened her understanding, teaching her to pair wines with signature dishes and appreciate subtle flavors. These formative experiences shaped her refined palate and intuitive knowledge of Burgundy’s craftsmanship.

A Burgundy Heart with Global Perspective

Though Natacha traveled, lived, and worked abroad, her ambition remained to return to her family business and promote Burgundy wines worldwide. She knows that Burgundy’s complexity lies not only in its terroirs and appellations but also in the skill of its winemakers. Her mission is to help enthusiasts distinguish good Burgundy from truly exceptional bottles, revealing the artistry, subtleties, and stories behind each wine.

Red Burgundy Wine

Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, red Burgundy wine is produced in various styles. Their flavor profiles arise from the unique appellations where the fruit is grown and the vinification techniques that were used in their making.

These are some of the most age-worthy wines in the world. 

White Burgundy Wine

These are Chardonnay-based wines from Burgundy. Similar to the red Burgundy, the white Burgundy wines are also crafted in various styles.

Their flavors too, are influenced by their terroir and vinification techniques. Some white Burgundies see some form of oak ageing.

​​The Hospices de Beaune, also known as the “Hotel Dieu”, is a former hospital for the poor created by Nicolas Rolin in 1443. The original hospital building is now a museum.

In 1457, Jean Guillotte le Verrier was the first to donate vineyards to the Hotel Dieu to pay the hospital back for having cured him from a disease.

This tradition continued through the centuries and still exists today! This is a great way for patients and their families to thank this institution, ensure qualitative treatments and long-term business continuity.

It’s also a way to be part of history as all donors have their family names written on the "Cuvée" which they presented for example, Meursault Charmes Premier Cru Cuvée “Albert Grivault”.
