About the Domaine:

Domaine Roulot, based in Meursault, is one of Burgundy’s most respected estates. Spanning 11 hectares, it focuses on some of the region’s most prestigious white wine appellations. Since taking over in 1989, Jean Marc Roulot has implemented biodynamic and organic farming practices, emphasizing low yields and minimal intervention during the 'élevage' process. This approach produces wines renowned for their purity, freshness, and minerality. Expanding their expertise, Domaine Roulot now crafts artisanal liquors, including apricot, pear, raspberry, and since 2021, lemon.

Elevage (Aging Process):

The Citron liquor is made from organic lemons sourced from Sicily, Italy. Following fermentation, the mixture is distilled to create a balanced and aromatic liqueur with 35% alcohol. Straddling the line between an "eaux de vie" and a liqueur, it offers a fresh, zesty character perfect for lovers of Limoncello and refined citrus spirits.

Tasting notes:

Beautiful balanced between alcohol level and sugar level, especially because Jean Marc Roulot lower down at the minimum the sugar level for this liquor. So, you will have intense aromas of lemon in your palate.

Serving Advice

Store the Citron bottle in your wine cellar. When you want to have a glass, choose a small and narrow glass, put 1 or 2 ice cubes and pour the liquor in your glass.
