About the Domaine:

L'Alambic Bourguignon (SAB) was founded by Mathieu Sabbagh, who brought a mobile distillery to life to continue Burgundy's rich tradition of artisanal distillation. At the end of each harvest, Mathieu travels from vineyard to vineyard, distilling freshly harvested grapes into delicate and refined craft spirits. This mobile approach allows him to honor the heritage of Burgundy while producing traditional French spirits with a contemporary, sophisticated touch.

Elevage (Production & Maceration Process):

For Le Gin Rose, Mathieu carefully macerates a selection of juniper berries alongside 14 other botanicals. Burgundy Chardonnay and Pinot Noir "eaux de vie" are then blended into the mixture, capturing the essence and character of the region. The blend rests for three months before distillation, ensuring the botanicals fully integrate with the spirits. This meticulous method results in a balanced, elegant gin that reflects both the complexity of Burgundy’s terroir and the artistry of traditional French distillation.

This premium craft spirit embodies the perfect harmony between heritage, innovation, and flavor, making it an exceptional choice for lovers of fine French gin.

Tasting notes:

Rich and balanced nose of spices, juniper and ginger with a touch of red fruits on the finish. Round and long on the palate. You can either let it express itself with just a tonic or pair it with juice in refreshing cocktails.

Best before: It's a Gin, so you can keep it as long as it lasts.

Serving Advice

Take a beautiful cocktail glass and pour 1/3 of SAB's Gin into the glass. Put 2 or 3 big ice cubes and a poor 2/3 of an excellent tonic like East Imperial or Fever Tree tonic. You can add thin slices of dried blood orange.
