The Domaine des Hospices de Beaune is a prestigious "winemaking hospital" with over five centuries of history. Founded in 1457, the estate began when Jean Guillotte le Verrier donated vines to the Hôtel-Dieu in Beaune. This tradition of vine donations allowed families and patients to express gratitude, and today, each "Cuvée" often carries the name of the family who contributed the plots. Covering 60 hectares, the Domaine dedicates 85% of its vineyards to Premier Cru and Grand Cru classifications. Since 2017, Ludivine Giveau has overseen the Domaine, managing wines that are sold at the auction while still very young. After purchase, the wines require careful aging to fully develop. My father, a wine professional with over 35 years of experience, supervises a meticulous 16–18 month élevage process. This ensures each wine respects its terroir, enhancing its unique nuances, depth, and complexity, allowing it to reach its full potential.

Deep cherry color. Aromas of small red and black fruits and violet flowers. The body is ample with a discreet tannic. The palate is round, well balanced, powerful but elegant. This wine has the perfect proportions.
